Whether it is new construction or an existing structure, Colonial Fireproofing offers an array of code compliant solutions designed to fortify structural steel, concrete, and other common building materials.

Spray-on application used to coat steel and cement supports in order to protect a building’s structural integrity against failure in the event of fire.

This fire resistant paint expands significantly when exposed to the extreme temperature of fire. As the product expands it creates an insulation barrier to protect structural members.

Sheet material used to wrap steel beams and cement structures.  Resists water and high temperatures and protects against structural damage.

  • Monokote MK-6 GF
  • Monokote MK-6 HY
  • Monokote MK-6s

Monokote®, fireproofing backed by a global reputation, is a life-safety product designed to reduce the rate of temperature rise in steel or concrete in the event of a fire. This prolongs the structural integrity of the elements which allows more people to leave a building in an emergency situation and gives first responders time to save the building.

Based on its easy-to-use characteristics, global reputation and lengthy proven history, Monokote® has been employed in some of the world’s biggest projects. The MGM City Center in Las Vegas employed over 500,000 bags of GCP Applied Technologies fireproofing product. Likewise, the architects of Singapore’s Keppel Bay Bridge and New York City’s own Freedom Tower have each specified Monokote® products to keep their buildings safe.

Southwest Type 5GP:

Type 5 GP (General Purpose) is a gypsum based cementitious fireproofing product designed to provide fire protection to various steel and concrete substrates for interior applications. It offers some of the best UL design thicknesses in the industry making it a very cost effective application. It is both user friendly and environmentally safe.

Southwest Type 5MD:

Type 5 MD (Medium Density) is a gypsum based cementitious fireproofing product designed to be used where higher levels of abuse are anticipated but moisture concern is not present. It offers some of the best UL design thicknesses in the industry making it a very cost effective application.

Southwest Type 7GP:

Type 7 GP (General Purpose) is a Portland cement based cementitious fireproofing product designed to be use in both commercial and industrial applications. It is a hard, moisture resistant product designed to handle both physical abuse as well as moisture or high humidity. Parking garages, swimming pools, gymnasiums, mechanical rooms etc. are typical applications.

Firefilm III – Water-Based Thin Film Intumescent

Firefilm III is a water based decorative thin film intumescent fire resistive coating for protection of interior structural steel. It is VOC compliant with governmental health and safety regulations. It has UL, ULC, FM and Warnock Hersey approvals to meet most fire protection requirements up to a 3 hour rating. A/D Firefilm III will provide the smoothest finish of the intumescent products.

Thermo-Sorb VOC – Solvent-based Thin Film Intumescent

Thermo-Sorb VOC is an acrylic thin film intumescent fire resistive coating design for the protection of interior structural steel. Being solvent based it will allow faster buildup of thicknesses versus a water based product.

Thermo-Lag E100 – Epoxy-Based Intumescent

Thermo-Lag E100 and Thermo-Lag E100S are two component epoxies, 100% and 95% solids respectively. It is an epoxy intumescent fireproofing designed for commercial and light industrial applications. It can provide a 1-3 hour cellulosic fire protection for steel beams, wide flange columns, pipe and tube column sections. It does not require reinforcing mesh. It provides for a fast cure and is rated for both exterior and interior applications.

Heatlok XT High Yield:

Heatlok XT is a closed cell foam is designed with an eco-friendly, high yield formula incorporating 20% recycled content of plastics and renewable oils. Heatlok XT provides a flame spread rating of 0-5 based on ASTM E-84. It is also engineered to exceed future sustainability goals, including an opportunity for building professionals to gain upto 10 LEED points.

Heatlok HFO High Lift:

Heatlok HFO is a two component, closed cell spray applied rigid polyurethane foam system. HFO product uses recycled plastic materials, rapidly renewable soy oils, and the blowing agent has zero ozone depleting potential. HFO High Lift complies with the intent of the International Code Council’s residential and commercial building codes.

Sealection 500:

Sealection 500 is an insulation breakthrough. Spray applied as a liquid it expands within seconds to 120 times its volume. It is a open cell polyurethane foam with a nominal in-place density of .5lbs/ft3. Sealection 500 is a non toxic spray foam that meets the intent of all applicable building code requirements. It reduces airborne noise and dust and provides a healthy environment for those who suffer with allergies, asthma etc.

All fireproofing and fire-resisitant products used by Colonial Fireproofing have been tested and approved to ensure strict code compliance and to meet or exceed industry standards.
